Monde Selection, sometimes dubbed “Nobel prize of food”, is a highly recognised annual award that has been given to food and drink products since 1961. It is run by International Institute of Quality Selections, Brussels, Belgium.
Products from all around the world are tasted, tested and analysed by a unique expertise that has been developed by the organisation during the last 50 years. Products are then approved by a totally independent scientific jury and win bronze, silver, gold or Grand Gold award.
More on that in Diet and Health Products category. It is extremely difficult to get any of the awards, let alone the highest Grand Gold one. In 2012 a young Hungarian company called Flavon received the distinction for its Flavon max Plus+ product.
